言わずと知れたグリーンデイの新アルバムを2020年2月に発表
バンドは今作について、公式インスタグラムにて次のようにコメントしている。
「俺（ビリー・ジョー・アームストロング）、マイク・ダーント、トレ・クールの俺たちグリーン・デイは、でたらめな状況を切り拓いていくぜ。それこそ今まで俺たちがしてきたことだ。他のすべてはまやかし。ペテン師たちに言ってるんだ！ロックはその真髄を失っちまった。世にはびこるクソ野郎どもに目にものを見せてやる」

The band commented on the official Instagram as follows.
“I (Billy Joe Armstrong), Mike Dernt, and Tre Cool we Green Day will open up a weird situation. That's what we've done. Everything is ridiculous, telling the professors! Rock has lost its essence.
Unchanging rebellious spirit and rock soul are healthy
